What is Bolivia Cards
We have various events coming up for Tuesdays. We ensure all the activities brings out the youth in you. Don’t forget, socialisation is not only fun,
but it is also a necessity for our mental health. Health benefits of socialisation include: reducing stress, warding of anxiety and depression, greatly
slowing cognitive decline and improving memory.
There is always time to make new friends and Jolly Senior Tuesdays are the Perfect place to do that!
A more advanced version of Canasta, Bolivia is a card game for four people playing in a partnership. The aim of the game is for players to meld sets or sequences of the same suit to earn points. Wonderful game for applying the mind as well as socialising. We welcome all experienced as well as novice players. Don't know the game? We will teach you!
FAQs
Ring the bell at the Centre and one of our Palm Beach Share N Care members will sign you in. From there you will be greeted by other members of the group in the main hall. The game is played with partners in groups of four. Partners are drawn for, so that there is constant circulation of pairs. Bolivia cards are played up to 20,000 which allows ample time for fun and a game that will have you on the edge of your seat. Between games or during breaks you can help yourself to morning tea made available by the centre, or better yet take some cakes to your table so you can snack during game play.
You are most welcome to join. If you have no experience with this game, one of the core members will sit out of the game and instruct you on how to play through the course of a game or more if needed. This group plays socially; they want you to feel comfortable playing cards and have no trouble showing you the ropes.
As you will be sitting for the majority of this activity and the room is air conditioned, we recommend wearing something comfortable.
Yes, however membership is easy to sign up for and best of all FREE. Please enquire within the centre.
